Quite disappointed with the move. A Conroy rep came to the office to quote us and saw all the heavy items that we required to be moved. Throughout our contact some of the larger items dropped off and were no longer required (large heavy reception desk) to which they stated he did not include in the quote anyway, therefore no change to quote initial amount. We had a large compactor (filing) which had to be moved and we ended up getting rid of 24 desks that were not required in the move and the rep then increased the quote. On our end we were cutting it fine with the removal date as we had to wait for current landlord and managment to confirm the move date and I can appreciate we did not have an exact list of items at the time of the inital quote, so there was some back and forth on our end. All of the items were initally going to level 2 of the new building, however we had a change of plans and 70% of the items went to ground level facility (which was easier for removalist). A few days before the move the rep came back to the orginial location to check some of the items and he stated he would not be able to get out the heavy machinery from the workshop as there was no bottom bars to sit on a pallet jack. He noticed that we had a lifting device in the carpark and asked to use that for the move. I am unsure why he would quote us such a high amount for items he was not even sure he could move. I felt like he was unprepared and took advantage of the fact that we were in a time crunch. I personally packed all the items in boxes and marked them with the rooms and location to make it easier for the movers. On the move day my manager stated that the rep said he would not be able to get the items in to the ground level bulding as there were three steps blocking the loading dock door and he could not back the truck up to the entrance. He had already been out to see the new location so he was well aware of the steps and access points to both buildings. My manager advised to go in via the front entrance as there is a ramp and double doors. My manager also noticed that the removalist staff were working non stop and was unsure if they even got a break during the move. Overall for the amount of money paid the service should have been top tier to which it was far from it. I will not be recommending this company to other buisnesses. If we had more time to get further quotes I would have went with another company.
