The Best Beaches to Move You

Across Australia we are enjoying the last vestiges of summer as autumn beckons, the days get shorter and it becomes that much harder to get out of bed in the morning. Taking in the last rays of the summer sun, Conroy has assembled a list of the best beaches across Australia. See if your favourite has made the list!

  1. Turquoise Bay – Western Australia
  2. Wineglass Bay – Tasmania
  3. 75 Mile Beach – Fraser Island
  4. Blinky Beach – New South Wales
  5. Whitehaven Beach – Whitsunday Islands

Located just a stones throw off Ningaloo Reef, with snorkeling opportunities galore, the aptly named Turquoise Bay is an absolute cracker of a spot. Beachgoers will love its warm and shallow waters and stand-up paddle boarders can enjoy the gentle waves that the protected bay offers. Relax in the remote location in Cape Range National Park where you will be greeted with pristine white sands making it your own slice of paradise.

When you think of beaches Tasmania doesn’t really come to mind. However, Wineglass Bay may just change up conventional wisdom. The bay is named after its perfect wineglass curve and showcases some fine palatable features: chalky white sand, clear blue waters and soaring granite cliffs add to the rainbow of colours and aromas found in the wine glass. Close to some fantastic wineries too!

75 Mile Beach is situated in the world’s largest sand island. The beach gets its name from the approximate length but has so much more to offer than mere distance. Its various forms of multi-coloured sands form a mosaic that range from white to orange to deep brown. The only down side to 75 is the high number of Tiger Sharks swimming in the area, so caution is required!

While Queenslanders may boast of being the beach capital of Australia, let us not forget New South Wales! Blinky Beach is an excellent surf spot on the east side of Lord Howe Island boasting white sand and turquoise waters, in the backdrop lies tall dunes sprinkled with spinifex and wild daisies.

Then of course there is Whitehaven Beach. The entire place is a remote, paradise. Untouched, no stores – just the beauty of nature at its absolute best! So then, what best will move you?
